Our Company
DexTech is a U.S.-based small business that is powered by its standalone capabilities and the collective solution set of its associated companies. The firm provides specialized solutions for governmental and commercial sectors, including the U.S. Defense Department and a host of other government agencies. It delivers state-of-the-art services in established domains like energy production and distribution and up-and-coming areas including sustainability, management of hazardous waste, IT security, IoT and smart technologies, and health and biotech. These technologies are designed to meet governance, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements. We work closely with military units, businesses, and communities to create advanced systems that streamline and automate operational workflows, surmount critical challenges, attain digital transformation, and achieve sustainability benchmarks.

Our Company
Founded in 2020, Chicago-based DexTech is a consortium of IoT/AI developer Innvendt, utility consultancy Ogni Group, sustainability engineers E 3Tec and environmental remediation firm Zenviro Tech. DexTech is a portfolio company of SMDT, LLC.

Executive Team
DexTech’s team is composed of engineers, technologists, current and ex-service members, lawyers, and business, finance, and other subject matter experts with years of experience in the public and private sectors. DexTech and its associated companies serve military and civilian markets, uniformed and non-uniformed services, and commercial sectors. As such, we are the much-needed interlocutor who speaks and understands the Pentagon and Silicon Valley languages.
Lt Col Richard C. Howard
Chief Executive Officer
Lt Col Richard C. Howard is a renowned expert in U.S. federal government contracts and holds the CEO position at DexTech. He is a trusted authority in the field with a history of overseeing $82 billion in Department of Defense contracts. Beyond his executive role, Richard is also an educator and consultant, running the DoD Contract Academy podcast and advising over 320 companies through his firm, Richard C. Howard & Associates. His previous experience includes a distinguished military career in the U.S. Air Force, where he served in several high-ranking command positions.
Richard possesses a Master’s degree in Military Operational Strategy from the U.S. Air Command and Staff College, another Master’s in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Salem State University. As CEO of DexTech, he is tasked with shaping the company’s strategic vision, overseeing its technological advancements, executing its business plans, and forming partnerships that benefit from his extensive understanding of government procurement processes.
Lt Col Luke C. Robertson
Chief Commercial Officer
Lt Col Luke C. Robertson is a Reserve Attaché with the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Middle East Regional Center in Washington, DC, as a diplomat and liaison between the United States and foreign militaries. Luke entered the Air Force in 2006 as a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and is a Senior Pilot with over 3,500 flight hours. He is a Foreign Area Officer (FAO) who serves as a Defense Attaché and a Security Cooperation Officer. He has been assigned to multiple operational and staff positions and has flown numerous combat missions throughout Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Luke’s private sector experience spans both the tech and aviation industries. As CCO of DexTech, Luke is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing comprehensive plans that define the company’s strategic direction and overseeing the organization’s commercial strategy and development, including sales, marketing, and partnerships to facilitate business growth and increase market share.
Previously, Luke held various positions, including Senior Director for Honeywell, where he led its Connected Defense business development, defense strategy for 5G, government cloud, and AI/ML and AR/VR technologies, and was responsible for bringing Honeywell’s $1.3B industrial software and sustainability solutions portfolio to the defense market. Luke has been awarded various commendations and medals during his service. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering Management from the United States Airforce Academy, a Master’s degree in Ancient and Classical History from the American Military Academy, and a second Master’s degree in National Security Studies from the Naval Post Graduate School.
Nipun Chopra, PhD.
Chief Operating Officer and Director of Strategy
Nipun Chopra is an assistant professor of psychology and neuroscience at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He earned his PhD in Medical Neuroscience from Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), where he discovered two microRNA that regulate critical proteins involved in the Alzheimer’s Disease pathway. In his subsequent post-doctoral training at IUSM, he investigated the interaction between APOE4 genotype and traumatic brain injuries (TBI). At DexTech, he oversees its day-to-day operations, ensures project execution, identifies new business opportunities, and develops strategies to achieve competitive advantage.
Nipun also serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Movement Interactive, Inc., a startup developing wearable hardware to detect concussive injuries in sports and the military and to predict fall injuries in the elderly. He serves as Scientific Advisor to Axiobionics, Inc., a Michigan-based company developing wearable neuroprosthetics to enhance arm mobility in stroke and TBI-affected individuals. Finally, he is the Founder of Chopra Science Consultancy, Inc., advising several early-stage biotech startups to traverse the valley between ideation and market entry.
Sanjeev Kumar
Chief Technology Officer
Sanjeev Kumar is a seasoned technology executive with over 23 years of experience in the technology and financial sectors, where he has specialized in spearheading digital transformations to boost revenue, foster business innovation, and improve customer experiences. At DexTech, he is responsible for the execution of extensive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cognitive computing, cutting-edge data engineering, modular and distributed autonomous services, cloud and edge computing, and cyber security control planes.
Currently, Sanjeev serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Eficens Systems, where he oversees the organization’s strategic direction, including its development and implementation of digital solutions and efforts to drive business growth through technological innovation. Before that, Sanjeev was CTO for Financial Services and Data Management at Dell Technologies, where he was responsible for overseeing the comprehensive technology incubation and implementation roadmap, leading the global data management strategy, and managing international customer relationships for financial services. Before joining Dell, he dedicated 16 years to State Street Corporation, where he held various leadership positions such as Managing Director and Chief Data Architect, Chief Architect for Enterprise Data Governance/AML, Chief Technology Architect, and Vice President of Software Development. Sanjeev holds an MBA in Systems and Finance and a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Chezhian (Chez) Krishnamurthy

Chezhian (Chez) Krishnamurthy is a highly accomplished IT Executive with more than 24 years of experience and a specialized focus in banking, financial services, insurance, and government technology applications. Serving as the Chief Solutions Officer & Advisor at DexTech, Chez has operated in one of the company’s most critical roles, architecting innovative dual-use technologies, adeptly tailored to meet the needs of both public and private sectors, thereby eliminating operational inefficiencies and creating synergies across various domains. A pivotal driver of digital transformation and data management solutions, he also provides high level strategic management consultancy to C-suite executives. Chez has demonstrated an impressive grasp of both business and technology, with his initiatives in business development and profit and loss management yielding $0.5 billion in revenue over the course of his career.
Jagan Kolli
Chief Information Security Officer
Jagan Kolli is an award-winning cybersecurity leader with over 17 years of experience, renowned for developing sustainable cybersecurity strategies, fostering innovation, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in the field. With a strong background in security architecture, encryption technology, identity and access management, data security, digital products security, and M&A, Jagan has made significant contributions to safeguarding organizations against evolving cyber threats.
Jagan actively contributes to industry-leading publications, webinars, and conferences, where he addresses key cybersecurity challenges and trends. His insights and expertise have shaped the industry’s direction and helped organizations adapt to the ever-changing threat landscape. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by heading high-performing teams at Fortune 500 organizations such as Avery Dennison, GE, JP Morgan Chase, and Ameriprise Financial Services. In addition to his corporate achievements, Jagan is deeply involved in the cybersecurity community, serving as a member of the Google Workspace technical advisory board, Cloud Security Alliance Zero Trust committee, and more.
Suishta Saigal
Chief Financial Officer
Suishta Saigal is an accomplished attorney and businesswoman. In her role at DexTech, Suishta oversees the firm’s financial management, ensures regulatory compliance, assesses risks associated with contracts, collaborates on strategic planning, and communicates with stakeholders.
Apart from her role at DexTech, Suishta is also a founding member and partner at the law firm of Madan & Saigal LLC. In this position, Suishta manages the firm’s operations, serves as business immigration and general counsel to various technology companies, and represents them before agencies of the U.S. government. As an experienced attorney, Suishta has an in-depth understanding of U.S. government regulations and is well-versed in guiding her clients through complex legal frameworks. Suishta obtained her LLM from Cornell Law School.
Ramu Adusumilli
Chief Performance Officer
Ramu Adusumilli is also a seasoned Mechanical Engineer and has over 30 years of experience in sustainable engineering and clean energy. He has harnessed his skills and knowledge to make a lasting impact on sustainable development, where he has helped businesses reduce their ecological footprint while improving their bottom line. In his role at DexTech, Ramu is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization’s overall performance and operational efficiency.
Ramu is also a partner in a private equity firm focused on sustainability, engineering, and smart and connected technologies. His thesis, “How to Convert ‘Social Green’ to ‘Financial Green,'” underscores his belief in the power of sustainable practices to generate both environmental and financial benefits. In this capacity, Ramu oversees the financial aspects of the private equity firm and its portfolio companies.
Ravi Avasarala
Director, Business Strategy and Growth
Ravi Avasarala has a proven track record of taking B2B technology products to market, selling to Fortune 500 enterprises over the last nine years. In his role at DexTech, Ravi is responsible for developing and implementing long-term business strategies to drive company growth, improve performance, and achieve organizational goals. Ravi is also a Partner at Ogni Capital Partners. This Chicago-based PE fund invests in sustainability-driven startups and companies and is also Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Strl Biosystems, a biotech startup revolutionizing infection control practices in healthcare settings through materials science and technology.
In his previous experience, Ravi was the CEO and Co-Founder of Ayasta Technologies, a company focused on digitizing electrical systems. At Ayasta, he successfully scaled their product to over 150 locations across India and secured deals with three major oil and gas companies. Ravi holds an MBA in Marketing and strategy from the Indian School of Business, an EMP from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering.

Anisha Chawla is an accomplished businesswoman who oversees DexTech’s human resources, including its recruitment, training, and compliance. She also handles contract administration, formulating company policies, and allocating resources across various departments. Anisha also serves as Chief Legal Analyst at Madan & Saigal, LLC; she oversees legal research, case analysis and strategy, and drafting of legal documents.
Before her current roles, Anisha worked as a Financial Analyst and Investment Advisor at Morgan Stanley, where she gained invaluable experience in financial planning and investment management. She was also Head of Operations at a civil aviation company, where she was responsible for overseeing all logistical and operational aspects to ensure the organization’s smooth functioning. Anisha holds a degree in Economics from the University of California at San Diego.

Neal Madan
General Counsel
Neal Madan serves as the Chief Legal Officer for DexTech, offering legal guidance and strategic counsel across all business activities and projects. Leveraging his expertise in business immigration, technology law, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, Neal manages all legal affairs for the company and serves as its official legal spokesperson.
In addition to his role at DexTech, Neal is also a co-founder and partner at the law firm Madan & Saigal, LLC, where he advises on business immigration matters and general counsels various technology companies on domestic and cross border transactions. Neal also is a Partner and General Counsel to a private equity and real estate fund. With a career spanning over two decades, Neal has represented various clients in various transactions and advocated for them before the U.S. government. He holds a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
